There is no "approval notice" as such but a "Welcome Notice" which basically is a I-797 notice of action of the type: Welcome Notice. You will get this in one envelope per applicant.
You will get another envelope per applicant generally a few days later (1 week or so after the CPO e-mail) that has the GC in it attached to the exact same mailer that a EAD comes in; a pamphlet for new residents and a GC card cover (kind of cool!)

After two years in the US, I told my employer that I want to file for GC...
Going to and fro he spent 8 months sayign that he is in the process of doing it...Then he gave me the papers to sign...After that he kept telling me that the lawyer had filed it for one and a half year...In April 04 employer changed lawyers...The new lawyer tried to find all cases at the DOL...My case and one of my friends case is 'missing'...They telling me that is old lawyers fault.....They told us to file a new cases...I am sitting around since July 04.....I am so sick of this whole thing.....
July 04 was my chance to change job or go back...I decided to stick with the job...my bad...Now I am really stuck.....Am waiting for 8th year extension...Wife finishing MS in May and baby on way....I am stuck with dead end job...not well paid......

desi - the reason we face all these issues is not because of anyone's fault.
Reporting an employer is not as easy as it sounds.
The most educated and experienced people have always recommended to "protect yourself" - look for yourself and keep out of trouble.
The issue here is - people in this situation are mere scapegoats - a common man who approaches beaucracy has to deal with crap that is worse.
The entire process of immigrating to US via a employment based system is so loosely organized and puts people in unfair situations.
It is just not desi employers or consulting companies, in general, but any employer can have an upper hand on you when you are at their mercy.
People say big companies have policies and they abide. I agree, but it is not always the case. If someone is in business - they do things in their business interest - if dealing with USCIS is getting difficult - they may say "enough of it - no more responding to RFEs".
One person contacted me - he is having a fulltime job and filed for AC21. he got RFE for EVL 2 times. The first time his HR gave EVL without any hasstles, the second time she was pissed, said "We do not want to deal with this - I have contacted legal and they recommend not to issue such letters".
Now such a situation puts this person in a tough spot -the issue is not because of his employer because his employer did give a proper letter but USCIS asked it again.
Just imagine what is this person's situation for no fault of his?
We can always argue that "If you are worth and if company wants to retain you then they will not have any issues" - which once again may not always be true because we all know how relationships work out at companies - with ass kissing, nepotism, situations, financial etc......

Are we sure that there are around 5-6k EB3 pending in the years 2002 and 2003. If thats true then it will take atleast 6 more years to process all the EB3's for 2002 and 2003 :(

Make it to 2.5K instead of 5K. By the speed we are in right now, I don't think we will reach your destination so early. But contribution is being very slow. Sorry for being -ve.
Had this been a call to build some temple or religious place I bet we would had been collected 5 - 10 times more than what we are at now.
I took the example here from a temple collection in my area, which when planned to upgrade it's kitchen, collected more than 175K in 15 days.

I have not heard of any rejection. But, the fact that you're receving 1099-MISC means that you're not full time. In fact, you're not even an employee for the company. If you receive an RFE, I assume you'll need to produce paystubs (which the OP don't have). In addition, you won't even get 1099-MISC until the year end. In short, no proof to overturn RFE.
IF the company can produce such a letter, technically it is a fraud since the OP is NOT a full-time employee. Replying to RFE with no proof and fraud intend won't fly.

payslips are not "required" only thing needed is a proof that you have been offered a job that meets all those conditions we all know about. technically, you dont even need to be working when you get RFE... ac21 memo allows self employment very clearly and distinctly. however, it also allows for two things: 1) it allows the IO to ask whatever questions they want to ensure that the job is legitimate and not a fraud. 2) it allows the IO to investigate if there was truly an intention between the beneficiary and the petitioner who applied for I-140 at the time of filing for I-140 AND at the time of filing I-485 (if not con-current). Fortunately, the IO is limited to investigating all this only by means of RFE (i.e. he cannot send the FBI or CIA behind you).
the problem for you and for me is that all this shit has not been proven in court... will you be the first person to take this risk? if you respond to RFE and then they deny your 485 and then you fight a case to overturn that denial, then it will set a precedent in case law that can be applied to all of us... so, please do it and let us know! :-)

My attorney sent my case on 05/31 via Fedex to NSC to reach by 06/01.so far no receipt received per my attorney.she has written the checks for me.I may have to wait and see.
